I have had some intermittent problems with the tonneau release/rear bow pull down on my wife's 88. We rarely put the top down for shows so it was not much of an issue. I looked at it last year but don't recall where I left off (top is up). I dug into it again following all the directions. Nothing was working so time for the volt meter. The schematics are pretty vague.
-Emergency brake has no effect even though the manual says to engage it.
I found the trunk lid interlock switch had pulled apart. There were signs of electrical tape holding it together but not like a shade tree mechanic would do. Possibly, it was factory. Any way, I reassembled the switch and recrimped the housing. All is working as it should now. Its a simple switch so I will keep a look out for a replacement. The switch on my 85 is different. _________________ Kevin Gold card MCA Judge for Fox Body
