There are quite a few red flags Sandy. But I believe you speak of the GT wheels and skirts.
Interior looks rough.
Its sad to see these distinctive cars in the bad condition that many of them are in. _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |

Is it black engine bay on a white car? But it does'nt have blue interior. Black door handle. Mass air flow? Come on Sandy tell us! _________________ 87 Ferrari Mondial 3.2 cabriolet(sold)

I would have to say that it's the poorly or not at all mounted windshield trim, for pic 1, and, oh yeah....how about that black door handle...
Pic 2...Top looks like crap...
Pic 3...Mass air flow was not until 1989.
Experience should tell us to avoid any ad that say the car "runs and is driveable". What a broad statement..... _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/darkhorse40/

At first I was thinking about the mass air / speed density thing, but weren't the cars destined for California in 88 mass air, a year ahead of the rest? |

That one is outside the realm of my knowledge.
I ordered both my 88 and 89 hatchbacks from the factory and only the 89 was a mass air flow system. But I live in the midwest... _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/darkhorse40/

Okay..... 99% of what you all pointed out, is very good & yu all were correct. BUT, the biggest boo boo staring right at you is that it is called a 1988 -but, it is wearing a 1989/1990 exterior mirror ! Mounted ON THE DOOR, and NOT on the "A"-pillar !!! I say it's a 1989 MUSTANG door from the junk yard. This car belongs at "Hal Wheeler's"
PS/ It wears a 5.0 on the front fender, so that's probably off the same
Mustang Doner car.[b] _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.
