Thanks guys

I did make the tonneau cover "Puffy". I thought the car looked a little flat across the back end so I thought I would go for the old "top under the tonneau cover" look. Sort of like what you would see on many older british verts.

As far as matching colors went. I just went down to our ...

I got the pic of my home made tonneau cover.

I wasted most of my time trying to get the naugahide to stretch down and cover the vertical section of the original covered area. It is beyond me how the uphostery people do it!!!

So I just made an upholstered horizontal section and applied some scrap ...

Re: Seat Recover

I decided to take the plunge and get the Recaros redone. I had the guy order the leather to match the lower dash/door panels. I drop them off this morning and should get them back in 2-3 days. I'll keep you posted.

Any chance in getting your upholstery man to make up a set of patterns for the ...

I can't speak as to how these cars handle horsepower mods, mine is only a stock V6, but I certainly can on the chassis upgrade mods.

My Capri has the following mods:

New inner and outer tierod ends
BBK caster/camber plates (had no problem meeting factory specs for alignment)
KYB shocks and struts ...

The wood panels on my 86 were in very bad condition.

The one on the Pas. side was very warped in between the screws. I mean the wood had separated from the dash as much as 3/8". Luckily the glue was in such bad shape it also released from the dash rather easily.

So I wetted it down with a ...

I agree with what you said Mike, except as the powertrain becomes more and more the proverial "black box" fewer and fewer people will be able to crack it open and modify it using basic shadtree mechanic/computer hacker/electronic hobbiest/armchair lawyer skills.

Instead we will become more and more ...

The electricity, for the car in the clip, was supplied by a fuelcell. A fuelcell is just a chemically charged battery. As long as you supply hydrogen and oxygen to the fuelcell it will produce electricity.

The problem is hydrogen does not occur in a pure state naturally in our environment. It ...

There is one major flaw in that video clip. I work in this field and I see it every day........

The part where the host asks "Where do we get the hydrogen?"
His sidekick answered "Seawater"....................... not the whole answere.

It takes seawater AND energy. Now, where do we get the energy ...

Do the above pictures depict the correct location for the compressor?

Mine was mounted on the lower front portion of the inner fenderwell on the driver's side.

My car has been altered so much, I am not sure what is suppose to be correct, but I would like to at least try and keep some things correct

In the write up for the V6 verts, posted on this site, it does state that the 86 V6 vert did retain the airhorns.

Just as an open question to everyone out there.......

Does anyone have an 84-86 vert that does not have the horns?

That is why I asked. My 86 vert has the airhorns too. But this car has so many inconsistancies I am not sure if they were added on, or original.

Is the original location on the driver side attached to..... I believe..... the mounting bolts for the front turn signal light?

If memory serves me ...

Just out of curiosity, did ASC remove the original horns when they installed the airhorns?
