My 1985 convertible has a very firm ride. What shocks will fit to make a smoother ride? Give me maker and number if possible.

Where do I look to find the numbers for the engine and transmission? I think I have a "numbers matching" 1985 McLaren but want to be sure.

Pull down motor

1985 ASC Convertible #226: My toneau cover and trunk lid now work as if new. We had Henry rebuild the green relay; we found a bad connection behind the glovebox; we replaced the pull down motor and attached micro switch using local salvage yards. Why consider a conversion when you can have it as ...

Pull your old motor and take it with you shopping. GM used this assembly for years. Lincoln used it also. Just check the part number.

Ricaro headrests

It seems some of you are more interested in talking computers than helping me solve my problem. I still would like a suggestion on adjusting the height of the headrests. I downloaded the manual, unfortunately it is for the top not the seats.

Ricaro seat headrests

Can the height of the headrests be adjusted up and down? How? Mine are too high and I would like to bring them down closer to the seatback.

Discoloration under rear of convertible top

My ASC is white and there is a yellowish/brown discoloration on the white tuneau cover where it meets the back bow of the top. Is there a good way to remove this? It looks crappy when the top is down.

I have a 1985 ASC convertible. I removed the Ricaro seats and after reinstalling them the trunk will not release from the glovebox button. Where do I start to look for a solution?

1985 ASC Convert

I should have given more info on my car possibly being displayed at the Detroit show. The car is white with blue interior and top. The car is shown in the Forum Gallery, at the end of the listings. The former owner listed it as his "promo convert". It is 1 of 94 built in the color combo. I would ...
