Great to see another ASC owner from the UK on here! There was a red ASC Pontiac in the Suffolk area on EBay last year, was this your car? If so it was a beauty, I'd love to see that in the flesh.

Hi all, managed to get both a Marti Report and a Carfax report for mine in the last few days, I am in the UK and have now found that my car was imported here in 96. I have a question, Do you have a system over there where you can find out who the previous owners of a car were?

thank you Kentennis, yes that must be a 'lost in transalation' one! It is one of the freeze plugs and it does look like its made of aluminium, the car has stood for 10 years so maybe electrolysis has taken its toll on this one then, oh dear, this looks like its going to take a while to do!.

no its not the heater core, Ive already replaced that, its a core plug that is pushed into the side of the engine block. I would replace it but as I mentioned in my last post, it has already been replaced by a previous owner, it just seems that maybe they didnt use any sealant when the put it in ...

well after several months of playing Im still finding problems everywhere! Thanks for the reply Sandy, I can see the car has been re-repainted so Im hoping it was done to the original, it matches in the door shuts so thats ok!
Ive had her running, good news is she sounds ok, bad news is the alternator isnt charging (ive 'borrowed' one off one of the other cars for now ...

Morning all!
well, she finally arrived last night and is now sitting in my garage. It seems she was last on the road in 2002 so Ive got to have a look into why this is.
She did fire up yesterday but died again pretty quickly, the fuel gauge is below empty so that may have something to do with it ...
