if you still have the stock E6 heads, you should not have a problem with 1.7 rockers. The valves are located higher up in those heads, totally different geometry. If you switch to E7..well most times no problems with the heads themselves..but a few have been able to run 1.7s also; most not.

there is only one gasket to use IMO...that is the rubber gaskets with a steel inner. These are great. You cannot over tighten the gaskets, which is what a lot of people do wrong. These gaskets are not cheap but probably worth it..I like them.
