What kind of roll bar you talking about. Just a regular old ugly rollbar, or one of those Saleen type style bars with the third brake light? I had a 1990 convertible Mustang that I installed a style bar in.

I'd be scared to death to be over there. No Thanks! I'd rarther walk thru Central Park, in NYC at 2AM with $1,000 dollars in my wallet and a shiny gold watch on my wrist.

Be careful and get back ...

No offense, and I'm NOT a tatoo guy anyway, so bear with me, but WHY would you tatoo yourself with THAT tatoo? Cars come and go, especially at your age. I'd be willing to bet you the farm that you'll be driving something else in 2 years, (like a used Chevy Camaro Z28, or some Nissan or Toyota ...

Your email is coming up as undeliverable. I was hoping to get some pics of your car and maybe what you're looking to get out of the car price wise. Thanks!

Guys,

OK, for this week only, how 'bout $10K as the car sits (less the Koni's, still need them) and all the original parts included?

If I don't get interest this week, I'll keep the car and do some engine compartment detailing. I have an Explorer GT-40 intake that, with the addition of Henry's ...

Substanger,

I have a 1988 with less than 18K miles that I may be willing to part with. I have gone through and replaced the tie rod ends and all bushings (except the control arms) with graphite impregnated polyurethane. Flushed the braking system and repaced all flex lines with DOT braided steel ...

As you can see, I have 2 - 1990 (final year) 'Verts. Neither has ever been in rain, nor snow ( ). One has 2,327 miles & the other has 7,359 miles. Neither has ever been "hit" - "bumped" or otherwise. BOTH have squeeks and/or creeks, depending upon the weather. These can be annoying at times ...

You can still find a real nice ascMclaren with low miles, but with an older car you can expect some repair due to lack of use. Are you going to use it for a daily driver, occasional good-weather cruiser or an always garaged show car that sees nothing but the underside of an expensive car-cover ...

The power source that pulls down the back bow of the convertible top is a GM power trunk pull down motor, easiest to find in a Cadillac at a junk yard, but after removing it and all, it might be broken....a new one at a dealer runs $400.

Yes, on the missing parts ! ascMcLaren specific LITTLE trim ...

I appreciate the thoughtful and informative replies!! The car will probably be used as a semi daily driver (I currently drive an old 1991 Escort that will soon see duty as a soon to be 16 year old sons car), so I would hate to actually do that to a classic, so I'm still unsure of how I will be using ...

Potential McLaren Buyer w/ Questions

I've owned about every type Mustang, from classic Mach 1's to a handful of Fox bodies/convertibles , a couple of SN-95's and a newer '03 Mach 1. I'm currently STANGLESS. I've always been intrigued by the McLarens, and now that I don't have a Mustang at all, am really considering buying one ...
