This past weekend, I attended the Kruse Auction for the first time in Auburn Indiana. Awesome!
Lots of incredible cars crossed the block. And they also had a "for sale" field of cars. In there I found a 1988 ASC for sale. It was White with a black top and Scarlet interior. It was actually in pretty good shape. A few details:
- aftermarket stereo head unit, all stock speakers, no cutting involved.
- it had a '89/'90 rear valence instead of the one used on the '87/'88s.
- engine looked pristine and very clean. totally stock.
- Seats were dyed white in the center.
- there were a few very minor paint chips
- I noticed the interior was in exceptional condition. the original owner really took care of it.
- 54,000 miles.
The owner walked up as I was checking it out. He said it is a 1 owner/titled car, as he just acquired it as he is a small car / collector car lot owner. He drove it down from Flint, MI, quite a ways. He had it described as 1 of 259, which is true of the white cars for '88, but its actually 1 of 26 in that color combo. He said if it didn't sell at the show, he's putting it on EBay. He was looking for $10K. Top was down, so I didn't get to inspect that.
I'll post the pictures soon.[/img]
