When I see those GD snakes on the sides of a car that is OBVIOUSLY NOT a COBRA, I just want to go and kick a big dent in both rear quarter. I hate people that do that. He even put "Cobra" plates on the door panels.

But who am I to judge? He got 27k for the thing. Whatever he did, he obviously knows how to make a car more valuable.

Would someone please tell me how he pasted a Mustang rear end onto this Capri ?? (and) then tell me WHY ??

I don't like the car. I am a stickler for purist original perfection. That's just me, though. To each his own. A resto-mod is okay, as the masses KNOW it's a Resto-Mod, but on rare limited editions there is more than enough confusion about our car to go around. I like Mike Martinelli's car as it's 95% stock outside and a powerhouse under the hood.

I'd like to get $27,500 for my Silver Anniversary car !

Assuming that asc didn't modify the original Capri rear bumper covers in any way, then the Mustang bumper cover (with tailights) is is a direct bolt on replacement.

As to why? Its the same mentality that thinks a Cobra is a much better car than an ascMcLaren. I'm surprised he didn't swap the front nose either.

This car is in a magazine I have-
Ford High Performance- April 1998

Title of the article?
"The McCobra"

Claims the car ran a 10.78 at 126 Mph!!! Supercharged with NOS.

It also mentions the car being modified by Steeda. Perhaps that added to the $$$????? Alot of dough for a modified car.
Current McLaren-
89 Paris Blue

Formers-
86 White/Tan/Tan, auto w/Recaros
88 Black/Grey/Black, 5spd w/Recaros

Can't take it away from the car, it does have drop dead eye appeal. Even "Stock Sandy" really like it. Okay door panels are wrong, front end doesn't match the back, COBRA plaques & snakes on the side, and wrong rims and "worked" engine and wrong color wood on dash and that Capri Hood Scoop and whatever else....Okay, it's a hodge podge of parts, granted, and certainly not stock, but unlike 90% of other tricked out cars......this one works the eyes and scores a bullseye on the WOW meter. For that the owner deserves credit. Terrific looking car ~ but not worth $27,500 IMO. One person thought it was worth that - - and one is all ya need.

 600 hp and can only do a 10.78? Someone can't drive. Like the car, don't like the interior. Definitely not for 27,500
