I have received a phone call from a man in Florida who purchased new a 1986 Capri ascMcLaren 2-Seat SC Convertible here, in New Jersey from the same dealer my Coupe came from. This is an ASC White car with the Medium & Dark Regatta Blue interior & the Atlantic Blue roof. Everything on the car is 100% original he states, and the car has no dings, dongs, scratchs, adrasions and shows zero signs of wear. I believe he stated original tires too. The mileage on the car is 15,000 and the car was enclose trailered to Fla. fro N.J. I do not know if she's a 5-Speed or an Auto, nor do I know about Recaros or Sport Seats. He wants to sell it. It has always been garaged. He wants what seems to me to be alot of money for it. He asked me what it's worth and I said at the very most $19,000. He balked and said for that price he'd keep it. I invited him to join us herein and post pics. The man's voice told me he was in his early 50s or possibly late 40's. I near died when he told me that he is 81 !!!
He was -- in his working years, a celebrity-of-sorts; a sportscaster in Calif. and then here on the east coast.

Yet another McLaren sold at Wayne Lincoln Mercury? They must have been one of the biggest ASC dealers in NJ back in the day.....

When I bought mine, they had like 15 on the ground. 4 coupes & 11 'verts. The guy who bought your white one, has a black one that came from Wayne L~M
