Happy new year everyone.

Just finished driving a Jag xk8 to and from Miami. At my age it was an adventure I would not have missed!!!

Sadly my 85 Vert is for sale. I have tooooo many cars right now and a boy that will enter KU in the fall. Ouch!!!

Nice car and is a keeper for someone.

I will reasonably work with any enthusiast to keep this one in a good home.

I don't know if you saw my post in the ASC Discussion forums....go here: http://www.ascmclaren.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2132 .... about me looking to buy a McLaren 'vert when I get back from Iraq in Feb, but I'm from KC, and I'd like to get a little more information from you regarding your car. Will you please either respond here or PM me so we can talk? I'm sure you're looking to sell ASAP, but you never know where this could go. Thanks for your consideration!!

Well it was a decent weekend so the car is out of the shed and on the loose. Drove it around on Saturday and it is running great. Nice car!

Sitting on the street in front of my house with signs on it. Going to consider the ARAT Shrine Swap Meet next weekend as they have a car corral.

Rethought my pricing and think that $9,000 is the proper number for this car. We will see this weekend.

Happy spring and top down motoring!

What color is the exterior and interior? Can you email me some pics of the car?
Thanks!

Black, with black top and tan interior. Recaro seats. Pictures(albeit clumsy) in my album on site.

Hard to sell a Mclaren in a snow storm. At the swap meet it was 40', cloudy, with snow and sleet showers, winds up to 30mph. Ugly!!

I had a discussion with Hank. I also have found the NADA values as published.

Low Retail=$5050 Average Retail=$6,325 and High Retail=$9,575

My price is $8,000 and firm.

It is not perfect but it is really really nice.

Well I guess that I am facing a big reality check on my 85 Vert.

I am now open to any best offer for the car. Either someone on here buys it or I will accept the CARMAX offer or put it on a consignment lot.

College for the boy starts in August and I need to dump my storage unit and sell the car.

All offers consedered....sadly .....but will be considered.

I am in Kansas City.

Its tough to sell a car on this site. Everyone has a car (or two) and there are very few buyers here.

Best bet is to put it on ebay. That will get you the most exposure. Or put it on Craig's list, etc.

Also, point people to your album here for the big pictures you have:

You can't sell a $9k car for even $2500 without linking to some pictures!
