I've used EZ-On tops before and they fit perfectly. The tan coloring is a bit darker, but in a climate where the top will be replaced every few years I don't mind.
I'll be instaling this weekend and I may put together a photo how-to article if I have time.
Yes, they do have all of the correct mounting tabs, velcro, etc. The only thing needed is to slit a small hole in the side to route the side retention cables. The tops on these cars are very easy to do...
Pics please... at least of the installed top.

EZ-ON is the one I'm thinking of getting. I like the optional tinted windows they offer, and the price...I'm not to concerned about the color not being 100% correct as long as it's close, as the top is down 99.5% of the time the car is out. As for the side retention cables mentioned, please let me know once you have your top on and road tested. Specifically at highway speed, my existing top didn't have the velcro to attach to the bows and it lifts like a balloon and looks like hell! It does have the side cables but they still lift open with the wind but maybe its because of the top being pull up off the bows. Please provide pics once your done I would love to see the finished produst as I also have Tan.
If velcro is all that is a problem, you can probably sew some in yourself. You may need to get the correct thread...not sure if they use some kind of wax coated thread or not.
Might be an option to try before spending the cash to replace your top altogether.

Under Restoration
I actually did a Quick fix and used iron on velcro rolls and it did help but whoever put the replacement top on did a lousy job, the rear is crooked. Besides, it has a few small tears/bad stitches starting.
Can anyone recommend a shop in the NYC (and surrounding borough's), or preferably NJ area that installs tops? I called a local place and he told me $1600 and another place told me $1480. I think this is a little steep for a $380 top. I understand that labor isn't cheap but that’s ridiculous. I don't mind paying for labor but I don’t want to get ripped off either.
At these prices I may just do it myself, although I don't want to.
Any help would be appreciated.
Now, that said, I can't understand why if XYZ company is going to make a copy of ABC's product, why doesn't XYZ Company first purchase just one of ABCs product, and then copy it exactly? Common sence alone, if no other reason, would dictate that if you are going to copy a product and you want YOUR product to look like the product that you are copying, that it would be prudent to purchase one of what your are about to copy. No?
I do not know how many different companies have attempted to copy the 1984-1990 ascMcLaren convertible tops, but absolutely not a one of them have scored 100% perfection. The number one tip-off is that some of them make the small rear outer windows way too big (as in this one) and the shape is off. Other companies get the shape & size of the smaller rear windows correct, and then use light grey stitching thread, INSTEAD of color-keyed thread. Example would be a dark (Atlantic) Blue roof and in place of dark blue thread, they'd use light grey thread.
The third thing some do is get the DESIGN of the thread (meaning where on the top the thread goes ((or is sewen)) on the roof). What track it takes.
I have seen each of these & worse when 2 or more (yes, even 3) are all present on one roof!
If they can come so close to original design, why can't they hit a home run and get it 100% perfect ?? They've got the hard part down, it's just in the details where they seem to let the bottle washer take over.
