Off-topic, David, but I had to mention this. I have been doing a little research on Marauders, and I have been shocked to see what the used car lots are asking for them. Some are asking just a few thousand less than these cars were selling for new, back when they sat on the lots unwanted. It's unreal. Are they really getting these prices around $23k for one?

The sad part of that white McLaren is that it's THE FINAL 1988 MADE, THE # 1,015 !! Man, why the H can't folks leave them ALONE and enjoy them as they were when they arrived at the selling dealer's business??

Which 1990 ? :unhappy

Yes nice low mile ones seem to bring a premium however have seen some deals on a few. I think the Marauders are going to follow suit to the holding there values like the Impala SS's lt1 cars. I think MSRP on mine was around 34 ish. I bought mine on the Ford D plan new and got it for around 26k drive away if i recall correct.

I'd have to agree Sandy. Thats a ridiculous looking ground effects package. What the f are some people thinking........couldn't they have just done that to a regular GT??????

I goofed! Got over-excited! Yes it's # 1015 and 1015 IS the number of 1988s made, but I forgot to add the 479 of 1987 to the 1015. So....the Dash Plaque of the last 1988 would therefore be 1494.

SERIES I

1987 = 001 to 479 ( = 479)

1988 = 480 to 1,494 (= 1,015)

SERIES II

1989 = 001 to 247 ( = 247)

1990 = 248 to 301 (= 53)

1990 Silver Anniversary = 1901 to 1912 (= 12)

1,806 Total.

I found a youtube video about this car. He said that the car was wrecked and it was cheaper to put that body kit on the car than original parts.

Leaving the ground effects off would have looked a million times better. Poor car.

That may be the case, but he could've used GT parts that are prevalent at junk yards everywhere. Still would've been wrong, but wouldn't have been so obnoxiously bad.....
