True, but I am looking at places where they couldn't really "fix" an overspray issue, IE; in the cracks on the back side of the fuel door, in the crack where the fenders meet the cowl, etc. I don't have a paint thickness gauge, so I can't be sure of the thickness. I still haven't had a chance to pull the sill plates, but when I do I'll let everyone know.merk23literturbo wrote:All ASC's were hand painted. They came from Ford with a Factory paint job. This means that only the metal shell would have been color coated. It would be real unusual to paint bright yellow over black because of opacity issues though, but not impossible. Overspray is not a real good thing to look for because the cars were undercoated and blacked out after the paint job so overspray is not always visible. How thick is the paint, measured in mils?
