Car Show

Last weekend I took the McLaren to the Vintage Mustang and Ford Powered Show in Shawnee, KS. Was at the Lee Jeans Hqtrs.

It rained in the morning and I had left the McLaren outside on Friday nite. Made it easy to clean up and just took the chamois and wiped 'er down.

I had called ahead to be sure that it was ok to bring the car. My valve covers say powered by Ford so that was good enough and they were glad to have me.

Likely you guys have the same experience where you are the only one there with a McLaren. Got lots of lookers and great comments. Everyone liked the car. The club appreciated the rarity. I was between about 10 Cobra kit cars so I got the overflow crowd.

Had a subtle For Sale sign. I asked $6700 and everyone thought I was too cheap. I know that but my son starts college in August. No takers this time.

Lots of really neat cars including the new Twister Glass Back. Made under contract by R&A Motorsports ....they same guys that worked on my car.

Noi matter WHAT town I take any asc McLaren to, In overpopulated, New Jersey with seemingly a million classic, special interest, historic, vintage, hot rod, antique, milestone cars..... I am always THE sole ascMcLaren and soon to have a sore throat. The questions are relentless. They all like it.

Doesen't matter which 1 iof my 3. They all draw a crowd, constantly !

BUT, this one draws the biggest crowd

I will do more shows until MR or Mrs $$$ takes it away.

Makes me sad but tuition is really up!
