Mclaren. I would want a car built that some of the Asc Mclaren purist
wouldn't like. Start by ordering a 87 ordered as Asc would have ordered
but change a few thing. Order it with the LX nose, LX straight tail pipes,
and order it painted white with blue interior.

Now have Asc convert it to a convertible. Repaint any sections needing
done because of the conversion factory white. Leave the body moldings
black. Install Asc tail light covers. Don't install front or rear Asc Mclaren
name plate trim, side skirts, rear valance, wheels, or suspension. Install
blue Asc interior with factory radio and factory antenia. Make the top blue.
Don't install the Asc rear spoiler. Install the 86 style rear brake light.

Next ship the car to Saleen. Add Saleen gauges and the momo
steering wheel to the interior. Install Saleen Racecraft suspension, the
Saleen 5 lug four wheel disc brakes and Saleen/American racing 16"
tires and wheels. Pain the wheels white. For the body, Saleen ground
effects kit all the way around. Saleen rear wing and blue lower stripes.

Then if you could get Asc and Saleen to asign the same ID numbers
to the car I think you would have the ultimate 87 mustang that could
have been built.
Sandy said $20k not $40k lol jk. But it would have been nice if McLaren had a more active roll in our vehicles performance. This car would truly be a legend then much like the GNX's.
