air horns

Does the 89asc'c have air horns? When John and I finished talking he blew his hor and it was really loud and different. My hor does not sound like that.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if I have these. I never thought my horn sounded any different than a standard mustang.

and now for a little sarcasm.......

I'm soooo glad ASC gave us the air horns instead of the supercharger (that they nixed), I get soo much more enjoyment out of my air horn that I use once every 2 or 3 years.

My 1987 has/had Stebel Junior air horns on it. The compressor crapped out. But its the same model that was on the Capris. I can't prove they were original equipment, but it would be a big coincidence if the PO put on the exact same Stebels.

BTW my 1987 ASC also has air horns and I bought the car from the original owner who always had them. My 1988 on the other hand does not.

Yes, 1987s had them.......UNTIL tjhe on hand quantity was used up.
I don't think they were listed on any 1987 specific printed matter.

Ok thanks for clarifying this. I was wondering if my 1988 was missing the air horns but glad it's all original. I even bought a nice alternative pair of horns in case mine was already alterred but now can leave it be.
