Okay, some good news.

When i entered the hospital in late October of last year as an "out-patient" only for testing - followed by a really bad group of findings, followed by a 3+ hours of surgery, things were really serious. My Cancer was discovered and reviewed. It is assigned a number. At # 50, you are no longer living. I was at # 40 and rising! Immediate surgery, 3 hours + 7 minutes & 3 days in the hospital.
then I went onto Chemo. I go 2 X a month, every other Tuesday. I have chemo in the infusion center as an out patient, for 2 hours & ten minutes. I have had this 13 times over the past 26 weeks. The first 8 treatments were 3 hours each time. Then upon leaving to go home I got hooked up to a bottle the size of a can of soda-pop. This had wires going to a PORT that had been surgically implanted into my upper chest, near the arm-pit.
Everytime I left the hospital, I had this bottle & it's wire hooked into my port I sleep with it, live with it,
and had to wear it for 44 hours & then return to the hospital for a DISCONECT.

Well. after the first 3 infusions, my # was down to 30, after the next 3 infusions my # was down to 17, and after the next 3 infusuions I was down to 9. After # 12 of 2 weeks ago I was 4 point 9 (4.9). This past Tuesday I had #13 Afterwards I was tested. I am now at # 3.3 (three point three)
Is this good ?? ANYTHING UNDER FIVE IS CONSIDERED NORMAL.
I will have 2 more infusions in August and then a stop. Then a Cat Scan. If the Cat Scan is Clear.....I have beat the Cancer ! 'Ya, i am THAT Close, but right now.....
I am so so so so sick from the Chemo & its effects.....May none of you ever know..... It's all that which you have heard, and ALOT more.....

I put down the top today on the Silver Mac & took my wife for a ride.
What a nice car ! Came home put top up, damp wiped her off, backed into garage & cover her with her satin bedspread.

But it wore me out. I am pooped. Going to bed soon.

I found the perfect solution to a colonoscopy. Have your larege intestine removed! When I was in for my physical last month, my doctor just automatically commented that we'll have to schedule a colonscopy next year, allowing me to be real cute and tell him that it could be done with a flashlight and a popsicle stick.

Ah, medical humor. When did we all get old!

I am so glad to hear things are looking up for you Sandy...continue to get well. I am glad this long chemo struggle has been worth the efforts!!

I met a very fine Rabbi and a comforting Priest there. We've become friends. Two super wonderful dedicated humanitarians.
I mentioned them, here, before...I know.

It's sad. I see way too many young girls (19-30) there for breast cancer. So Sad. Like an epidemic, really. So many young people...20s 30s & 40s.
So many, I usually have a 90 minute wait for my turn.
