B-

Interesting notables:
Since it's a 1985, it was not able to have Power Door Locks/Fuel Door Lock & Release & Power Hatch release

Mine has the rear floor mats, too. To date - this is the only other such car THAT I HAVE SEEN, not saying that others didn't come with rear mats.

Interesting to see that the rear seat speakers lack the diebosed KENWOOD name in the plastic surround trim piece.

Steering wheel's newness is extremely impressive!

Cannot see the mileage. What is on it?

Very very clean car.

Too much under carriage surface rust !!

He uses it? WHY? 617043 VIN....I'll check it later today & see if I have anything on it.

i posted right under the photo 62,937 miles

i dont think he drives it much. when i stuck my arm under the car to take pics i found lots of spider webs.

your right no power doors. but i didnt open the glove box to look for a power trunk. he did use the key to open the trunk. didnt all capris come with the power fuel door. my car has no power lock no power trunk but does have the power fuel door. i always thought thats how they were all built

Peter I think you're right. The power fuel door release was standard on 85 Capris. I think it was part of the convenience group Mercury added in 1984 or 85.

The power HATCH was what was extra and not included on the asc cars. Same reason for the locks. We got power windows since I think it was standard in 85 but not the locks.

I had rear mats as well. The material was the same just no embroidery. Those are weld-in sub connectors which will make the car feel extra solid. The undercarriage appears just about right for a car of that mileage and age. Price is pretty high though.

WOW, okay....I missed the mileage. Oh ya, for that mileage, that rust is nothing. Car is amazing! Especially the steering wheel rim !

I think it's worth 12 thou. Lets say, Joe Blow has been dying for one, but wants a really mint example.
for 12 thou...on the new car market, what's he going to get ? Not even a new Suzuki ! I'd bet an offer of 10 Thou COD would be accepted.

Peter,

Thanks for your effort in taking going out to take pics of this car. She looks to be in pretty good shape, much better than most of the coupes out there for sale lately. If I had the $$ available, I'd be looking to have her sitting in my driveway in the near future. Unfortunately, young kids/family get in the way of my acquiring the some of the toys I want :D :(

Did you drive her or hear her run??
