Cleaning out my garage of all my Mustang and Capri parts

Post by red390gt »

I need to clear out my garage, I have too many parts that I dont need. Make me a reasonable offer and the part is yours. Email me at red390gt at yahoo.com

I'm located in Fairfield, Connecticut, most of these parts are too big to ship so you'll need to pick them up.

Somebody snag that 85/86 GS bumper cover and header panel!

They only cost about $110 to ship and are harder to find than the RS ones!

The cover needs to come off the header panel and squished into an undersize box. The header panel is undersized already. Each is about $55 to ship or so.

ugh....... thats sickening seeing that thing on a junk heap.

What color was the top on that? you know?

Did you get the VIN by chance?

I see more parts that could be taken off, what about the taillight covers? And are all the wheels really still on that thing? geez, there's some money....

The tail lights broken, you can't see it in the picture but it's broke. The wheels had locks and I didn't have a wheel lock removal tool with me so I could not get them off, they were in very nice condition aside from some dirt on them, tires looked like they had very few miles on them. It was a nice car at one time but nolonger. It looks like it ran into a pole or tree on the passenger side front, the frame collapsed all the wal back to the dash, hard hit.

I also grabbed the upper windshield interior trim piece, the door panel on the DS, the PS door panel insert, the little metal pieces that bolt to the top of the doors that follow the contour of the body line. I'll snap some pictures.

How awful to see that happen to a once very special car. Too sad. Well, I quess saving her parts to be used in another one is a very good thing. Kind of like an organ donor, I quess. I am going to go look at mine to make me feel better. That is just too terrible.

I'm not surprised. There is so much junk piled beside and above it.....sadly. I wish I was closer to go take a look and pick over that thing. Those wheels are toooo good to let sit there..... I could see the tires very well in one of your shots, haven't seen them in years! THey were the goodyear gatorbacks. You don't see those anymore. Did I see that you did get that exterior one piece windsheild molding?

If someone kissed a telephone pole in that car, I'd bet they didn't fare very well in it. no airbags, seatbelts that don't work very well, soft top, and a VERY weak A-pillar. Our cars really aren't that safe, unfortunately......

That is very true. Fudging frompy seat belts, weak A pillars, with zero support. so so brakes, soft top. Nobody wants an accident, but THE safest car is the Audi A8-L lIKE A BANK VAULT!

What do you want for the windshield molding and would you ship it (I'm in Cinci, OH - a little difficult to come pick it up)?

Also, was the plastic trim for the #1 top bow still on the salvage yard car, and was it in decent shape?

Thanks, Keith

Take a close look at the picture of the plasic outside trim, it's missing the plasic section around the latches, I think It's still usable but you'll have to decide. I'll take $100 for it as is, shipping will be a little tricky due to it's size. I'll do some checking later and let you know and estimate of the cost.

I did grab the inside plastic too, it is broken but fixable. I'll take a picture later and post it for you. I'll sell it for $40 plus shipping.

You can have both for $125 plus shipping.

I can't ship these items because by the time I buy large boxes, a ton or bubble wrap, tape, possibly build some small crates to protect the parts in shipping, it's just going to get too expensive to ship and nobody will be interested in paying that much, it adds up fast. So sorry to say if you want any of these parts you'll need to come to Fairfield, Connecticut to pick them up. I can possibly meet you somewhere to make your driving trip a little shorter.

Thanks

Yes, they are nice and flat, one of the hinges came undone from the box so it will need to be reattached with some screws or staples. Make me an offer and we'll go from there.

Thanks

I'm not good at all for offers. I have no idea of value. You must know what you want to let them go. But for me as cheap as possible :-), just let me know.
