I'm new and just posted a F/S sighting and looking at other posts i ran aross this one. I know of a guy that works at Whislter and did when that remote model was sold. I know parts are long gone but knowledge of how it worked/wired up is available.

Do you have a sevice manual or can you get one?
I have a NOS (new) unit with all the wiring with install instructions, etc..but could use a service manual if there is such a thing!

Nope-- the factory never had something like that as the units were never serviced outside of Whistler. What i've been told there wasn't much that went wrong with them besides water damage from improper installation or damage. If your looking for replacement internals look at eBay for any Spectrum, Q2000, Q2500, WH-5 Dash units as they all had the same antenna "can" assembly.
My wife has a 2001 Cherokee Limited (XJ) 4X4. It's with 55,000 miles and is 100% mint mint mint! (The last year, for the Cherokee). As new! It has every option that was available and was made during the final week of production. It came into the dealership with not one...but TWO window stickers from the factory to list it all. It's Silver with Black Leather. Have not yet had the first problem wit it. My wife LOVES Jeeps! She keep pushing me to go to a Jeep Jamboree, but..... I don't think it's exactly my kinda thing. Her License plate is " JEEP " too
She's been sniffing 'round looking at 2009 Patriot Limiteds.

Jamborees are a ton of fun but to be honest i wouldn't take your "clean" jeep to it. Yes, you can get easy trails that is basically driving on a dirt road but you will get scratches on it! Get an older jeep - a beater - so you wont care what happens to it on the trail. I've been on at least 10-12 of them.
