Please ...I need a little help?

Post by Jori Rintamaki »

I have a new paint, new top and etc.... So I promised my car to the Oulu car show. Yesterday I looked for these trims and I cant used the old ones anymore. They are in very bad shape.
Where Can I buy new ones?
I have only two weeks time left to fix the car!
Please, if someone can help me to find a shop where I can buy the trims,
let me know asap!

I also think they have 85/86 door molding but you have to ask/call

you can reuse the old ones if you remove the metalic backing that the tape was on.

lay the body molding on the flat ground in the sun. then clean them. paint them. and reinstall

On the door one, do NOT remove the metal backing. The trim will shrink 2"! and look terrible!

The smaller ones are no problem as they are too small to shrink substantially.

I visited at FMR sites before but in their catalogue there is
no door moulding for -85.
Anyway I´ll try to call them and ask if they have?

We have in Finland one factory who makes anykind of mouldings and
tomorrow I´ll call them also. I have a model so maybe they can make a newones!
If they can make a newones it cost a lot for me but after first mouldings
it is very cheap....Only the first ones coast a lot because they have to make a mold first.

aargh.....Sorry about my bad English!!!

Contact FMR directly. Most things he has in very small quantities are NOT on his web site.

If you can get mouldings reproduced, he would like to talk with you about it as well.

Hey Ron, keep those, I'll need them when I eventually buy your car. :D
