Like you... I too.... really can't judge a fair price. ((Not that i am selling)) just looking at my insurance policy. Without really knowing it's true value, it complicates insuring it. I drove her 16 miles this year. I actually forgot what a great car it is. I can see why so many have been torn up. It just begs to race, chirp the tires, and be tossed about. I drove it very politely and nice, but I was really fighting temptation all the way. The new muffler sounds identical to the OEM, so I was happy. LOOKS? It get more looks & thumbs up signs than any other car I have ever had. Crossing Guards spin like tops to get a look at it. 3PM was when I brought her home.

Lack ot knowledge, is your answer.
You see, I keep her in storage. I felt it was not good to never start her, so from time-to-time I would go over & start her. Then, I'd let her run at about 1200 to 1400 RPMs for about 15 to 20 minutes, & then shut down.
Too little too late, I learned that this is really not good. The car does not get hot enough to burn off the condensation that builds up in the muffler, and the moisture is not expelled, and thusly it SITS in the muffler, which is STEEL. In time it rotted thru, causing a golf-ball sized hole, IN the muffler. The passenger-side muffler is A-OK, as are the two tailpipes and front exhaust pipes. Obtaining a duplicate muffler was not hard, other than the fact that my local Ford dealer handed over a muffler that looked the same, but was actually for a 6-Cyl 1986 Capri/Mustang, and 3 weeks later when I took it to be installed the garage told me it's for a 6-Cyl and not usable. So, i went back to the Ford Dealer to exchange and they had gone out of business !!
So, I got one directly from WALKER, the company that supplied the OEM to FoMOCo.
I was somewhat concerned about the sound she would emit not being as it had been, but, it is identical.
All hoses & lines were examined and they are all as new & perfect. The A/C blows freezing and all works as new.
I drove her 17 miles this year, and very nicely, allthough I did chirp the original tires just once, to see if she still had it in her. She does
