well now i finally have an asc mclaren took a while but finally got one. its an 88 conv.but not my first time with rare mustangs, i also have an 80 mustang conv. cabrio.

Hey Sandy, I finally joined the group after taking to Peter at the Woodward cruise on Saturday. I talked to you via email a couple years ago and just never got around to registering. I purchased Rod Dottens 1990 ASC McLaren 3 years ago. I have kept it just the way he would have liked it. I store it on a 4 post hoist for 364 days a year. It now has 7275 original miles on it. It's triple black, silver wheels, auto, radar and keyless. I think it's also a one of a kind as the other one like it was never registered. Great to be here.

David..... FIRST WELCOME ABOARD !

Second, I love your car! Rod & I were telephone friends, being that I am in "Nu Joisey" ~ Sadly we never met. That car of his was pampered way beyond normal pampering. 1990 was THE only year these cars could have black interior. I personally have never seen a black intered McLaren. Please, post picts -especially of the INTERIOR. I think I spoke for most in saying we really are begging for pics.
I am glad that you appreciate that rare & unique car. Best of everything with it. Glad you found us.

I have added some pics of my triple black 1990 McLaren in the 1990's album. I also added a pic of my 1984 1/2 20th anniversary mustang in the "other" album. Haven't figured out how to post pics right in the forum text but I'll keep trying. Hope you enjoy them. Dave

it was super cool that i was not alone again this year on woodward. Dave just walked up to me and siad "maybe i should park with you?" i didnt even see his car sitting in a parking spot. and i can normaly pick them out in the large woodward crowd. this car is SUPER clean! sandy would love it. i had a feeling black was rare but i was not sure. it was the only one i had ever seen and i have seen ALOT.

i asked Dave to roast the 20yr old good years his car was sporting... he said no. lol

Dave, I assume that is the former Rod Dotten Car...Yes? I know the care it has had. AAA all the way! Did you buy it from Rod, or was there another between Rod & you? Seem he sold it quite a while ago. 1st time I have ever seen a black interior. It looks navy, but...I know it's black.
Best of everything with that car, and if ya ever wanna mate it, I have the willing stud !! Be really carful with her !!
