I thought about it but that bracket didn't look like it would come off...I'll look again though.

On the bottom are two bolts. Get those off CAREFULLY, then the bottom drops off and the bracket comes free.
You can take the screws off the top and open it...but there isn't much there to worry about. You could probably put some graphite in there...I think that's what they used for lubricant. The older ones had an oil inlet for using oil.

Finally got around to getting it apart...where can I get the paint Mike?negusm wrote:Restore it.
They can be disassembled, the blue bracket blasted and painted blue (I can get you an exact rattle can paint match).
The rest can be wire wheeled up to clean it.

Cool thanksnegusm wrote:Home depot has/had it.
It's like "Home Accents" or something. It was a perfect match. I still have some. I'll double check at home.

Well they didn't have that exact color but I got something close...not like there are other asc's around to compare it to! lol.
Turns out the bottom of the compressor is plastic and the top is metal. Everything it sanded clean and primed. Going to paint everything next.
Pics up later today hopefully...

Damn! Looks good Mike. I think your engine bay is complete now. Take another pick when you get it back in the car.
