The retail new car selling business a KaaaPut. It was good up until the late 1960s, and then things began to change, and I am not at liberty to put that in print.
Long Long hours, lousey front money ( $75.00 @ week salary)
crappy commissions because the "experts" who are NOT in the car business (they write books) tell e/body to buy for $200 over invoice.
On a $200 profit, the salesperson is paid $40 - Would you work hours to show, demo. explain, answer ?s to ultimately sell a $40,000 product, to make forty bucks ??? Net Net = $32.78
Never even "think" about going into that business.
You will make more $$$ as a clothing salesperson at a department store (like Macys) AND have great imsurance, profit sharing, health care, and less hours than selling cars AND more respect.
