The TRX option is one. We have corrected so many people that the TRX tire was NOT discontinued in 1984 with the Mustang. The Capri CONTINUED to offer TRX through 1985. Very few cars received it but we have documented examples (and the brochures clearly state this).

Yes on the GS only, but no on the 5.0 only. The lit does not say the "TR Performance Package" was not available with the 2.3 or 3.8. It all only says it was available with the "GS only". No mention of engine.1985 Motorsport Capri wrote:the trx were put on 5.0 GS models(non-rs style) only.negusm wrote:

So I guess when YOU wrote this you were mistaken?2000mileRS wrote: This car is in immaculate condtion and can say there in not a car in this condtion left in the counrty. In regards to the door, it was not painted as you say. What was on the door handle was fine residue compound spray from when the car was buffed.

I see the discussion going on about the 2000 mile capri on ebay. Per my feedback on ebay you can all see I was upset. Anyone who know's anything about the history of this car let me know. I can say the there was somekind of repair to the drivers door and the drivers side was repainted. I put the car on jacks. The underside cleaned up nice. Every component of the underside looks new / original. (there was some overspray on the drivers side exhaust pipes). However, I am not happy that the car was described as all original paint and no body work. I have contacted ebay for help. The owner has not returned any of my calls and claims he knows nothing about bodywork / Paint. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I will be taking off the door panel to see what lies underneath the repaint. Ill let you all know
Either the car has been painted or it hasn't, you've said both.2000mileRS wrote:Yes, This is that car. I brought the car to a good body guy. He put the car up. The underside is pristine factory condition. he checked the cars underside for signs of nuts removed etc etc. Car looks like a 2000 mile car. The drives door was painted. He then did a complete inspection of the inside of the door frame and skin and found no sign of anykind of damage. He then checked to build stamps of the door and are all match the rest of the body code stamps. In his opinion the car door may have been a repaint after if it failed quailty standards or the car door may have been keyed or scratched at the in transit or at the dealership.
Almost 177,000 total (Capri and Mustang both) in '85, and over 247,000 total (Capri and Mustang both) in '86.2000mileRS wrote:I believe between the capri and mustang the dearborn plant put alittle over 100,000 vehicles in 85/86?
