87 Rear Bumper Valance

Does anyone know if the all of the 87s came with a rear bumper valance? About half of the pictures of the cars I see have the valance. The ones that do not have the valance look like they have straight tail pipes, the ones with the valance look like they have turn downs. What was stock from Mclaren?

My eduacuted guess is that once again

some owner along the way decided he wanted a wider more Hi-Po exhaust tailpipe and brought it, and then went about converting it, only to find that the end tips were:
: wider
: longer
: Flarired
and would not fit because of the valance ! (DUH) So, what to do ??
Only solution was to remove the valance, right? Right !!
So far, I am okay with that. It's the next part that puts pineapple skin in my shorts.....
HE THROWS AWAY THE VALANCE ! BYE BYE VALANCE !

Ok so did mclaren just change the tips to turn downs before the valance or did they change the whole exhaust to accommodate the new piece?

Oh that and if anyone has a valance for sale for an 87 I will be needing one in the next month or so, and you already know what Hank wants for one.

No the cars came from ford with the GT turn down exhaust specifically because the valance would be added by ASC.

Also, remember that the ascMcLarens (1987-1990) were based upon the LX 2-Dr. Sedan with 302 V-8. I think that the LX V-8s had the turned down tips.

I may have 1 (silver)... can't remember if its 87 or 88. should fit Either way unless I'm mistaken.
