Since the speedometer has been replaced, do you have any records supporting the listed mileage?

In my opinion if this car is rust free and in good working order it is worth the $5500 but wait the end of the auction. If you lose it there is something better for you to come. It looks good. A perfect use car is rare. Especially more than 25 years old. So even if it is not perfect it look correct and decent for the price. I have close to $9000 in my car including shipping and all and I do not regret it. Go with your feeling.

If I was in your shoes, I would offer $5k cash money and just leave it at that.

You have a 75% chance that there are no real bidders in that auction. Dealers often play games on ebay and most bidders get cold feet after the auction.

This seller might be legit. I have no idea either way. But how many times do we see cars bid up past their value, but show up again and again by the same seller?

Guys, there are a lot of people in the USA trying to amke a buck, selling a car.

#699 comes to mind. (Last numbers of the '86 red vert that's been for sale FOREVER. Here, Ebay. Craigslist, paper etc.)

Hasn't been around anywhere for a while, Maybe someone bought it, or just gave up!
