7 owners !!! ????

All women in their late 60s that only used it to go to church on Sundays, and only in good weather. They drove it nice 'n easy and kept it all original.

Happy Memorial Day, and remember this.....
the flag you saluted was more than likely made in China.....

Boy, thats really rough. 1500 tops is pushing it for all the stuff it needs. Too bad, though. I hope someone on here grabs it though.

What do you all think the grand total would be on the missing parts? It's near me and I've been a fan of these cars for some time. Wouldn't mind redoing her in gray/orange...

Sorry, I meant to say Happy Labor Day, but....I am still stuck back in May/June & I typed Happy Memorial Day.

Now then, Did ANYONE hear the trummpets blowing, yesterday ?

I took the '86 C-O-U-P-E out for a drive !!!! I eyballed her mileage - and it is 729 miles. She performed like she is, a brand new car.
I need to take her out again for a fuel fill-up and an oil & filter change.
I did, upon returning, wash her by hand, but no soap, just clean hose water. She was not "dirty" ~ ~ just dusty! Played the Alpine stereo and ran the A/C and ran the power windows. Everything works, even thr clock in the stereo call-outs. Tires look perfect, but maybe  I need to change the air in them.
Karen & I took her quilts, her car cover and her towels to the laundry-Mat and washed them all as they were dusty . It took a long time for the car cover to dry.
The nicest time of weather, I have always said is all of September & the first 2 weeks of October AND all of April and the first 2 wweks of May.

Then it gets either to hot 'n humid - or to cold.

I will NEVER again schedule a CHEMO infusion prior to a holiday. :smash:

It depends on how far back to correct, you want to take it.

Go to www.ascmclaren.com and look at the parts and prices.

This car is missing all the ground effects which is a big piece.

A lot of other stuff isn't ascMcLaren specific but need to be replaced like the door panels.

thanks, but the treatment was the last work day, before the holiday.

One can absolutly tell the differance between a McLaren convert & a 85 / 8 6Coupe. I did not "get on her" or burn rubber, but the pulling power and the available torque in these coupes (especially with 729 miles) makes the 'Verts like a 6-cylinder Impala ! (and we know the convertibles can get up and GO)

Well good luck either way!

I want to get into one of these coupes already! I'm starting to wander towards a certain multi winged hood scooped 4cyl turbo fox but the Capri's just holds a warm spot in my heart...
