I miss him.

I thought I would share a pm he sent me as a way to continue something fresh from him.

Sandy.......

I will give you the advise, as I would, if you were my son.

The car sales business was not good to me. In my area, NJ/NY it's a whored up business, run by low-lifes. I was fired & hired all the time. No security, no future. I was lucky. My folks were both attorneys. When they passed away, I became comfortable, financially speaking. I have held onto what I inheirited. I did indulge into 2 McLarens, but little else.

Think about your future. R-U married? Your wife & future offspring. They cannot exist on a car salesmans income. (Marry a wealthy girl).

I told our son to be an accountant. He listened. Today, he's a CPA, earning $54,000 @ year. He's 23. Now, he's going to go back to college & get a Law Degree, and combine the two CPA/LLB. He works hard. I worked hard too, as I am sure you do, but only the dealership owner makes any real monry & has time off when he wants it.

Thank about it.

Regarding the McLaren. I don't know where you are, but you can come see it, when I get better.
I swear to you it's brand spankin new. None better in the world.
I will try & send pic to you

I miss sandy terribly. I think about him every time I look at my car. We were pen pals. I have quoted sandy from one of our PMs. I wish I still had them all to read but the board only saves two pages of my inbox. I got a tear in my eyes reading through them. I used to tell him he was like my internet dad. Hey I was only 17 when we started talking. He game me a lot of life advice growing up. In this pm he says I have his respect and he had mine. I got to visit his grave about 3 weeks after he passed. I was not able to make it for the funeral all the way from Detroit. I have never called Karen or Matt out of respect for them but I have always wanted them to know how much sandy meant to me and how much he did for me growing up. I stopped at the main office of the cemetery and told them I was looking for the grave of a friend. My pen pal that I never got to meet.

I hope what I wrote makes sense to you guys. Sometimes I have a real hard time putting my words on paper... Er or computer because of my dyslexia. This would be the disability that Sandy is referring to in his pm.

I am sure that your parents are very very proud of you. I am just an across the miles pen pal of sorts...and I am proud of you. You did not let you disability get the best of you. You have this old man's respect !

tulips (sandy typed sh*t here but the board changed it), Pete, I am now 62 ! I do not look it and my friends kid me about what kinda hair coloring I use - but.....I don't use any ~! I also have no facial wrinkles, so I look like around 44.

How is your hand, these days ??? Does it still hurt you ?

I miss Sandy. I'm sorry I never got to meet him in person, but glad that I was able to have chats on the phone and on the message boards. And we're all here to help each other too.
