I don't know a whole lot about the coupes, but this looks like a nice ride.
Is it manual? If so, the carb is correct. If auto, an 85 will have CFI. Or so it is with the verts. Good luck either way !!

No 85 coupes were built with an auto trans.

It's an 86, it's a 5 speed, and it's EFI.

Hard to hide these cars. I looked for one for so long years ago, I unearthed several, including this one. Hard to forget the ones with T-Tops. If you don't want it, let me know. I won't try to steal it from you until you give me the ok.

Seller had to cancel our appointment and I haven't heard back from him yet. :( I'm starting to lose hope, but stuff happens so we'll see.

Finally saw the car today. Car has been sitting since 2006 untouched, except for the mice living in it. Car is definitely solid, but not as nice as I was thinking. A paint job, passenger side ground effect, weather stripping, and lots of cleaning/detailing would bring the car up to show quality. Could be a driver as is with some cleaning and work. Radio and radar detector are gone

Is it an 85 or 86? I couldn't tell you. It's titled as an 85 and has the carb engine. Car looked black to me with silver decals and wheels. Third brake light as pointed out earlier. Guy claims to have bought it from an ASC rep in the early 90's. Guess it's also possible it isn't even an ASC McLaren, I don't know enough about them to make that decision. I'm going to pass on the car as I'm not looking for another project right now. I wouldn't be happy just driving the car as is. I'd have to restore the car if it was sitting in my garage.

I'll post some pics in a few minutes. Got to load them up.

What is he asking for it?

So many little things strange about this one, but it looks like an excellent driver project.
