I was very excited to trade my drag strip mod GT for this "close to stock" automatic convertible. I had never heard of the McLaren until I traded for this one. she runs great and all that but I am having thoughts about it being a fake. its missing some small parts, and little things are a little odd about it.
anyway here is the VIN
#768
1FABP40EXJF157353
she has the door sticker on drivers side, and it looks like it was put on in 88
radiator support has ford stamp and 87 year im guessing also stamped
steering wheel is not leather, speedometer only goes to 85
If its not a fake, I feel like it was stripped and then put back together for whatever reason, theft, teenagers, "drag strip" guys, Audio geeks, who knows.
Ive been slowly putting her back to stock
Got an 88 "McLaren" in a trade.. is it fake?
