Selling my Dads 1985 Mclaren, trying to find out what number it was in the production run. Any help Vin 1MHBP79M2FF614073

Welp, we don't have that VIN yet!

1985 Coupes were not numbered and they were built mostly independent of the VIN number (within reason). Cars were brought in from Ford in no particular order and built out in no particular order. But a really early vin is going to be close to the beginning of the run and a late vin should be near the end.

Out of the vins we do have which is like 2/3rds of the total 150...yours falls right smack in the middle...so you would be around #75 or so.

Does the car have any special options?

FF614073 is the 234th of 251 1MHs from 1985

Weren't all of the 1MH VINs convertibles are were there some Coupes in there too?

Whoops! I thought we were talking coupes.

That's a convertible vin.

Pretty sure he put up the last 6 digits first and edited later...either that or I just ignored the first part of the vin.

Not sure where in the run that lies.

So it is near the end of the run...but again, because asc never built in VIN order, we don't know the exact placement.
