I made that decoder for specialservicemustang.net but it will also work for 1987-90 ascMcLarens, since they are made from the same model as 1987+ SSPs.

Same type of decoder for Four Eyed Pride (1979-86 Capri/Mustang) is here: http://foxchassis.com/test/decoders/bucktag/

OR if y'all want, I can combine the two to work for all ascMcLarens and Mike can put it on the site.

Mystery Solved!

Post by wrightsvo »

The mystery of the uncertain serial number has been solved the old fashion way...I found the plate. While removing the seats to make the heater core job easier...low and behold!!!...the limited edition plate with the serial number!

What a find! #1523

I have made the correction to the registry!

now to finish the dreaded heater core.

A side question...
...just curious...
Did ASC/McLaren do any recoloring of the interior panels...as in the dash, door thresholds, kick panels, glove box cover and latch and lock....etc????

Close to what the owner thought was #1580.

Don't think asc recolored any of those parts.

:(

I hate to bare the bad news to this community....
it brakes my heart to say, but this car is headed for the big highway in the sky.

official on scene pics from the local PD: http://s617.photobucket.com/user/wright ... sc%20wreck

3 vehicle collision with me in the front.

The chevy pickup was estimated to be travelling 60 in a 40 and he never hit his brakes. I probably wouldn't be here today if it weren't for that ford pickup.

I am still stiff from injuries but slowly recovering.

I have a new one now... will start a post as soon as I have some pics.

Its a shame about the car but maybe it will live on in helping others as a donor.

Most important, good that you are ok.

While I am sure insurance would total the car, it actually appears repairable. Put it on a frame straightener and it could be pulle back into shape.
