Woodward Dream Cruise MI
I know its kind of late to ask about this; but why are we meeting so far from woodward?
I dont know where everyone is coming from, but it makes no sense for people to go out of their way to be that far South when the cruise is North of 696.

its only 15 - 20 mins. from the cruise. not far at all. the reasons we are meeting away from the cruise are:
A - closer you get to woodward, the less parking & crazier traffic gets.
B - most of us are located either south or west of the cruise.
C - we (gp4 & asc owners)would like to cruise in together.
hope this helps.

OK, what do you get when you have 3 white cars a silver car a black car and 3 Red convertables and talks of a blue car?
Who knows but it was a GREAT time. Weather was damp but all was good.
It was great meeting everybody and giving faces to user names.
I took LOTS of pictures will down load in the morning.

2007 dream cruise planing
1985 Motorsport Capri (Jason) and Plumcrazy (Mark) were unanimously voted to act as co-chairmen in organizing the 2007 parking and pre-cruise gathering.
They did a most excellent job this year and are to be commended.
Many thanks to Jeff and Dawn for bringing the tent to help keep us dry. Thanks to Smoog (?) for the morning doughnuts at the Library.
I have a couple dozen pics that I will get posted later today.
A great time with a great group.

everyone in our group seemed to have a great time. lots of people from around the country coming up to us wanting to talk about the cars all day long(which we were all happy to do).
a heard on the news this morning that there were an estimated 1.8 million people there 16 miles along woodward .
total asc's in our little piece of lot were:
4 - 1985 - gpIV ( 1 silver & 3 white)
1 - 1986 vert
1 - 1986 coupe
1 - 1988
1 - 1989 - (won a trophy!
)
& 2 owners (David & Peter)even came out without there rides just to hang with the group!
best parts of the day for me were:
- when we went cruisin down woodward in single file.
a red 86 convert paced the pace cars!
behind mark & laura's vert went the silver gp then the 3 white gps.
that blew every spectators mind. tons of pointing & oooing & aaahing (and thousands of photo's and videos constantly focusing in on the 5 of us).
- later when you could actualy cruise above 5mph, the 3 white cars cruised 3 across (taking up 3 out 4 lanes). again, lots of head turning!
- getting to drive semaj's car all day instead of my own (thanks!!!). always wondered what it was like to drive a gp4 with a sunroof!
now only 364 days til next years cuise. whos ready?

Even with the weather being a pain till late afternoon, it was a great time. it gets even better when your on woodward; so next year it will be great to attempt to do that.
The attention from all the asc's when we were cruising down woodward was awesome. makes me witsh I had one for sure. Tons of comments about not seeing capri's, to whats that? and then look another one, oh there's 2... 3... 4.... etc. awesome. my plain old lx dont get that kind of attention, heh.
def thoughts for next year, a spot on woodward. someone bring a grill. BETTER WEATHER! even more asc cars. Mark and Laura, I owe you a few cold ones. umm, for now thats it.
and I think that those of you who missed it, you need to start planning to come next year. especially if your from out of state, and have never come to one of these. Its a car lovers must do, at least once in a lifetime.
