The Mustang changed the nose, hood and cowl cover in 1983. The pad changed at that time too to fit the new hood.Sandy wrote:Why would they make the Mustang one different? What is different? The 1979-82 Mustang and 79-86 Capri Pads are the same...or so I have determined.
To add to this, the Capri never changed anything in 1983 up front. 79-86 Capris therefore share the CowlCover, Insulator Pad, HEadlight Bezels, etc with the 79-82 Mustang.
My only hope is that the Pace Car restorations spur some early model repros. I talked to a vendor ramping up Fox-Bodied repros and he said that the demand for early (79-82) Mustang stuff is very very low. It's getting "red hot" for 85-93.
