Sucks Jeff but glad you and the wife are ok!
Do you have specialty insurance? When my 79 was broken into they wanted to total it...I just had regular insurance. I mean a 79 Mustang book value at the time was next to nothing. I had to fight with them to have someone come out and look how mint the car was...they finally agreed and I got the car fixed. The Capri is hooked up so I don't have to worry...
Hopefully you'll be able to get it taken care of properly and the insurance company doesn't try to screw you. When my fiance got hit and run we just called the insurance company and filed the claim...my body guy said that's a no-no. He said next time, bring it to him first and have the adjuster go to the body shop so he can negotiate with the adjuster to make sure we got the right amount of money. Live and learn! I'll know for next time...hopefully there won't be a next time but you never know.
Good luck! I'll keep my eyes out for parts!

The jolt of the accident knocked it loose! Years ago a friend slipped and fell on the ice - next day was in the hospital for like 3 days! Same thing...they said the fall knocked it loose!
Get well!

I know what ya mean. I had to Stop Chemo (of all 3 type I was recieving) for 12 weeks (6 infusions) in order to have a hernia surgery performed ! Let me tell you, the Hernia surgery was May 1st and the very first day Ihad no pain from it, was Memorial Day, May 31st. Yup it hurt for 31 days. Nasty. Then, with that dione I had to return to Chemo-fun ! Amazing, however how we get used to it after around the 10th one. I am now on # 35. Just supassed 1,575 hours ! Deductinfg the 1st 10 infusions, (when I prayed for dearth) all all in all, the hernia was worse!
Good luck with your stones, I've heard it's bad, but the good part is the pain is all but 100% over in less than a week. My very best wishes rto you for a speedy recovery and smooth sailing in the health deptartment!

LOL! sounds like my fiancee trying to drive here in Detroit. she is from hilly billy Ohio and cant drive worth a shyt.

and what city/town in po-dunk Ohio would that be??? 95% of the Michigan drivers are originally from Ohio ya know!

When the tire companies went bust, everyone left Ohio for Michigan to work in the car plants...
she is from a small town just outside of Lima. Ohio drivers dont like Michigan drivers. they are always complaining about us.
so who was already working in the car plants building cars? ya know... so the tire companies would have tires to sell?

Feel SO much better today!!
Capri Update:
Going to LI to pick her up Saturday Morning.
Hagerty declared it a total loss because of the $5k of coverage I had.....so
I had the option to buy it back at the salvage bid price of $750
I will net $4250 and have the car in my possession.
They do not surcharge at Hagerty either so I will still have my insurance, and will raise it to 10k once fixed.
Very happy with Hagerty.....oh and they are going to reimburse me for all the fuel to go pick it up with my buddies trailer.

Yesterday was a LONG day,
The ride to Long Island went great left at 4am, got there at 7:55am with only one 20 min stop, record time!
They way home, bwwaahhhh it took us 7 damn hours!!!
So much beach traffic on 95 along the CT coastline.
If I had realized what was going on sooner, I would have gone up through Hartford, but oh well, she is home now....YAY, time to fix it!

Jeff, PM me I have a line on NOS Capri sheet metal.
We have to talk! It's in Jersey. You could use at least one piece to fix your car!

I am sure the price is negotiable but I don't think he wants to ship.
