I've been wondering how long it takes for a well known car to no longer be referred to by the name of a previous owner.

Haven't you heard about the raffle? Seems that you won a black McLaren....

Thanks to plumkrazy for this pic. I still need to buy a new camera and take some nice pics of my own.

Thanks to Hippy for taking such good care of this car until I finally bought it.

Hippy told me he didn't do anything to the engine bay and didn't have his hood open when I saw the car. How does it look? Ford was sooooo cheap on using properly protected metals under the hood (really, anyplace you couldn't see) in the 80s!

Sometimes, it's better to apologize than ask permission!

GOSPEL

Asking permission is usually met with NO ! whereas doing it and then apologizing can sometimes make you the winner. Sure, they be mad for a while, and then accept it.

This refers to buying something you want...NOT cheating on your spouce, which I do not do, nor suggest.

It is okay to do when a 1 of 2 . 25th Anniversary Mclarern is at the cruxt of it all......

My grandfather always told me get what you want BEFORE you get married. Then, you have a 50/50 of keeping it, at least for a while. Anything after the wedding is subject to veto.

With cars, I always try to date girls who enjoy them as much as I do.

Never did find one that liked my Cobra in the years I owned it. Too raw, it seems.

Funny, but when girls see the photos now, they ALL say they wished I still had it! ARRRGGG!!

Plan on selling my '86 Blue/Orange 5 speed coupe this Spring

Rust free. Drove it one season then has been in indoor storage for 7 or 8 years. Need to look when I actually purchased it from Hank at Paradise. Have a ton of extra parts, NOS and used that go with the car.
I'll post an ad once I get it out of storage and take some pics.

I guess I'm lucky. My wife says, "If you want it, and we can afford it, go for it!" I try not to abuse the deal!!
