Yes this is Rod's car. He is a personal friend of our family. When it came up for sale, I jumped on it knowing I would have a hard time finding one of its caliber. So, yes I did purchase from Rod 3 years ago next month. In the 3 years I have owned it I have put 300 miles on it. I do have all the original parts for it as well. All those parts are in pristine condition as well. I'll post another pic of the interior which may show the color a little better. To me there is a strong hint of charcoal rather than pure jet black.

That is the condition that all 3 of mine are in. an I ask you, with whom you have your insurance? I am with GRUNDY. What do you have this Black car insurred for ? You drive it a litle bit more than I drive mine.
She's a beauty. Do you ever see Rod ??? What's he driving, now?

After joining the group here, I think I am going to cut back on the mileage I am putting on this car and use my 84 1/2 anniversary mustang for more shows. My wife doesn't like that the car just sits but I told her it was an investment.

I have my insurance with Citizens. Not sure if they are the most economical but I have all my cars and house packaged together. Plus they let me reduce it down to storage coverage expect when I drive it. The storage coverage is only $50 per year or something. They did insure it for the full apraised value of $22,500.

I do see Rod often. He still has a collection of cars including a 69 AMX, a full custom 65 lowrider Buick Riveria, his parade car (50's Pontiac convert?), and his latest project a 65 mustang he's doing a full restoration on. Might be one other but can't think of it now.

He is retired and has himself a little shop to stay out of trouble in.

I'll stop by and see him soon and tell him I've joined the club and corresponded with you.

Please give Rod my best. iI have missplaced his tele # & address.
You got one heck of a fantastic automobile, there!!

Grundy Ins. allows you to place any figure of value on your car.
Their rates boarder on CHEAP. They are AAA rated. They only do Special Interest cars, Classics, Historical, etc vehicles.

From what Dave wrote, I'd have to say this "CITIZENS" is by far, the best. I strongly doubt that they do business in New Jersey, so unless I find out otherwise - i'll stick with Grundy. Insurance companies do not like writing coverage in N.J. - I assume alot of big loss is the reason.
Over population in 80% of the state, traffic, idiots-on-road...that kinda thing.

Happy Birthday.

I'm a couple months over 30. 509 to be exact (In a couple weeks).

I'm with Hagerty. No mileage limitation, very little use limitation and $542.00 provides coverage for 3 of our vehicles. But our 2 new ones are $1201.00 a year. A Ford SUV and Ford F150.

BY THE WAY, I AM 63. LEFE WAS GREAT, UNTIL 60.
IT'S VERY WEIRD. NOBODY CAN BELIEVE THAT I AM 63.
I HAVE TO PRODUCE MY DRIVER's LICENSE TO PROVE IT.
THEY ALL GUESS THAT I AM 45-50. A FEW HAVE GUESED
THAN I WAS AS YOUNG AS 40 ! BUT.... I FEEL LIKE 70,
FOR 4 TO 5 DAYS AFTER A CHEMO INFUSION. IT SUCKS TO
LOOK 47 AND FEEL 70 ! I'D LIKE TO BE 35 AGAIN.
HOW ABOUT YOU?

No, NO, NO!!! Back then I was still married to my ex wife. Worst decision I ever made was to go out with her in 1962!!! Got a great one this time. She likes the McLaren, tolerates the Vette and doesn't like the Thunderbird. That I can overlook! Been together 31+ years1
