I don't think any verts were made from the RS platform. All the verts had to be GS cars to go through. But maybe there was an exception.

Those RS side markers are a head scratcher because by 1986, they were long gone from the US market.

My guess is that somebody redid the RS mouldings from either a Canadian car or a very early US RS car.

People really like those mouldigns and go out of their way to locate them and put them on their Capris.

Yeah I thought something was fishy with the RS moldings. I have never seen or heard of one being made from an RS. Plus isn't that a GS front bumper cover?

The originals are the same as the GT ones. I have no idea on re-popped ones.

Got a link to repopped RS ones?

for $8000 I would think it would be much more original than that. I will sell you mine for $5000. The black on the door panels has been dyed... can see the variances in it where the tan is showing through slightly. So I assume they just dyed the rest of the carpet black as well. They are not even advertising it as an ASC Mclaren... just a Capri Convertible. Either they know what they have, a missed matched hodge podged car put together and painted quickly to sell, or they have no clue that it is even an ASC.
