I dont recall seeing any 86's with a CRS buck tag and a GS hatch tag
nor, have i seen a 86 GS with the fuel injected 5.0 L .Which,I see you could get.

RARE-ASCs window sticker still bothers me then as it does not mention the GS. I can concede that its possible Ford, in mid 85 decided to try and dump the GS tag on ALL the Capris...5.0L or not. It would still be nice to know what exactly was going on....but it does appear that maybe there is truth to that.

Maybe the line workers had learned if the car coming down the line wasn't an "RS" it was automatically a "GS". When the name changed from from "RS" to "5.0L", the folks on the line continued to stick "GS" on the hatch of any Capri that wasn't an "RS", which just happened to be all of them.
