Where are the nine now?
Hi everyone, it's been a while since my last post,I hope you are all well in this new year
I have been getting hold of as many things I can like new door locks, badges door rubbers etc, etc.so that the car will look it's very best when I get the new paint job sorted.
I have been trying to find the McLaren wheel center pieces as there are a couple missing and it would be nice to get a new set for the special day.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of these?
Regards Ian.

Cap
There are two types of center caps for the mesh or lace wheels.
Front loading and rear loading. The wheels are different. The Capri seem to have 1 type and the mustangs have the other. Just finding the center cap is not easy. Some have made stickers to go over the faded old one.

Center Caps for your ASC Capri
I had four made at FASTSIGNS here in the USA. I placed them right over the center caps and they are perfect . They are made of a material that will last for years. But you will need to make a small cut in the center , for the inside to the outer part, and make this cut in the dark area. the cut will not show.

Tonneau pull down motor
Hi all. It's been a while since my last post. I took my car for its annual MOT and the Tonneau pull down motors plastic bracket has broken and the motor fell of. I have made a temporary repair but would like to get a new plastic bracket so that I can rebuild it. I don't need the complete assembly. This is very expensive as the postage and taxes and import duty etc more than double the original price of anything I order to the UK. Can it be modified so that it is not live and I can make a metal bracket? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ian.

Re: Tonneau pull down motor
You did not post what year. Dorman makes replacement motors and the plastic housing. Not sure of the exact one used on ASC. It's posted here someplace.Argo wrote:Hi all. DORMAN Trunk Lid Pull Down Motor
Hi. Thanks for that. I found a number on the motor which suggests it's for Cadillac. I ordered one from eBay which is exactly like the one in the link you posted which arrived a couple of days ago and it looks identical other than the motor which is a little smaller.hopefully that's not a problem. Maybe it's just as good as the 1986 one .Thanks again. Regards Ian.
