THE WHEELS

Post by Sandy »

Unusual story of those 1984-1986 Orange, anthracite or white wheels, that were continued on the 'Verts of 1987-1988, in Anthracite, White, & gold, as well as the Gold Capri 1984-1986 ones and the blue ones on the 1986 as well the silver ones on the 1986.

These wheels were made in Italy by Campagnolo, who also made the wheels on the Pantera and many Alfas, Maseratis and Ferraris. But they were made UNDER contract to OZ wheel corp. In America OZ is represented by MSW Wheel Corp. So, the wheels actually had 3 different companies involved in their design, manufacture & shipment.

differences

Post by svo413 »

I know there are some differences and have seem them on the cars and Hanks site. Is there any specifics to the lace areas being painted or bare?

I surmised from looking at pictures that coupes had bare lace spokes and convertibles had painted lace spokes.

Later cars had OZ labeled wheels?

I only pay attention to the the 84-86 cars. Thanks for any input.
