It's getting to be the nice weather in Phoenix, so I wanted to start driving the Mustang to the office again (it's been parked for a few months).
I noticed that the pull down motor was acting very "sluggish" so I decided that I should replace it before anything bad happened. I ended up ordering a new Deville pull-down motor off ebay since I noticed some posts here that said it should work. Pretty much one of these:

So my question is to whoever has ever got that to work for them. I took my old motor out and it is clearly not a simple bolt-in exchange. Do you have to disassemble the OEM motor and housing (that the big screw from the top goes into) and just swap the motors from the GM housing to the ASC housing?
Even the motors don't seem to be a direct swap, so maybe I got the wrong part.
I just want to make sure I know what I am doing before I end up giving up and sending Hank a bunch of cash for a new assembly. Any help would be appreciated.

There are 2 different motors. I believe ours use the 3 wire one and not the 4 wire one. In addition, there is a switch that goes on it too which adapts it to a 2 wire. The motor housing which is plastic can be bought as well in reproduction. Looks like you looking at the motor seperately and not the motor assembly.

Not the same?
My experience is with the Capri. It was my understanding they were all the same pull down motor. I see Henry has different ones posted but I do not know if they are correct. Your ebay link showed the same as the Capri. There are only 2 wires used on the 3 wire plug. Sorry.
