window motor

I have an early 1988 ASC with the mirrors on the pillars. My passenger side power window motor needs to be replaced. Looking at replacement parts there seems to be different motors for convertible doors or lx/gt doors. Which would be the correct part? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Make sure he motor is not for the rear quarter window. Normal Mustang Verts got 4 motor windows and hatch/notchs got just the 2 door motors.

The vert door motor is probably a low torque motor since it doesn't have to slide up in the window frame like a Non-TTop hatchback.

But I am not sure on that....I could be totally wrong...

Ford switched over to low torque motors about 84 from what I recall in the parts book. It was probably due to a safety issue. I haven't looked it up lately but they should be interchangable thru 93. High torque (Bosch)motors are highly sought after as they do not stall when putting new dew wipes on. There is a Mustang deler selling tem on ebay for $39.
