Roger McLaren Racing and American Sunroof Corporation teamed up to produce these special edition mustangs from 86-90 that were sold through Ford dealerships. It has the stock 225hp 5.0 liter engine and the AOD automatic transmission. McLaren lowered the cars 1", added spoilers and ground effects, special taillights and emblems and then ASC tilted the windshield back and added the Mercedes look alijke convertible top. They also removed the back seat, and installed a deck with storage compartments, and made a tonneau cover to hide the convertible top completely. The cars all came from Ford as LX mustangs painted black., or White. After the conversions they were painted with Sikkens paint in the colors that Ford offered on its European line Merkur., as well as other manufacturer's cars! This one is called AzureA blue. This particular car has all available options including the rare Recaro seats with 3 inflatable lumbar supports, heaters and stereo speakers in the headrests. It has a Kenwood stereo system with amplifier. Another rare option is the built-in whistler radar detector that is mounted under the hood but has a display above the speedometer. This car has 49,000 miles on it and spent most of its time in Florida. I bought it from the original owner in 1994 and have stored it in a heated garage ever since
