Car #76 for sale Blk/Sil

Post by plumkrazy »

Hippy who has Car #77 called and asked me to post this for sale ad he found.

http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/682166877.html

We are planning to go see it and get some pictures of it along side with his car .

Hippy also said he has seen this car a year or two ago and it was NOT nearly as nice as his car. And would need a repaint. And the owner had claimed it ran 11's at the dragway.

Now a kinda weird note My Blk/Sil car was also in the same basic area as both of these cars. All lived about 10 miles of each other for the last couple of years.

Looks very nice. Original paint is a plus to me. Let us know how it looks. I'd love to buy Hippy's if he'd sell it to me. Blk/Slvr is my favorite combo.

Raven Black Coupes were only made in 1986. All Raven Black(s) ARE 1986s. They were available with Platinum Silver Stripes/Decals/Logos & Silver & Anthracite wheels. Also availabe with Raven Black was Popsicle Orange Striping/Decals/Logos with Popsicle Orange/Silver Wheels. Either way, they were both available with either 5-Speed Manual OR or 4-Speed Automatic Transmissions.

The Breakout:

Raven Black with Platinum Silver Stripes & Rims = 40 units
Raven Black with Popsicle Orange Stripes & rims = 1 Unit
Raven Black with Gold Stripes & Rims (from Convertible) = 1 Unit
(The Above was a Special Order)
Raven Black EuroCoupe = 22 Units

Equals 42 Full Packaged & 22 EuroCoupes = Total of 64 units in Raven Black.

Options on Them =

11 had a Pop Up Manual Sun Roof
05 had a T-Top
48 had Power Door Locks, Hatch Release & Remote Release Fuel Door.
35 had 4-Speed Automatic Transmission

29 had 5-Speed Manual Transmission.
48 had a Solid Roof
16 had no power locks

The reason there were MORE automatics for 1986 than sticks was because there were no automatics made in COUPES for 1984, nor 1985, and there was pent-up demand for them, so they made more Automatics for 1986 than 5-Speed Sticks. More EuroCoupes had Automatics than did Full Packaged ones, I was told - - since I wanted an Automatic in my Smoke Charcoal Grey Full Packaged unit, and it was made specially for me, at the end of the production of Full Packaged models. Mine is Dash Plaque # 109 of 114 total.

There was no records kept seperating the Full Packaged model from the EuroCoupes. (Sadly  )
Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

1990 Final Car prior to the 12 Silver Anny Editions
1990 Silver Pearl Anny Edition
1986 Coupe Full Pkg #109 of 114.

I think the days of passing on 86 5 speed coupes over details like this are long gone. They are getting SO HARD to find it would be easier to buy it and repair than wait another 2 years for one to pop up, which may or may not be in better condition.

I'm just saying...non factory sunroofs usually suck! lol.

There is also the black 86 (car #034) listed on Hanks site...a bit more but definitely look nicer.
Black silver stripes 5spd air, cruise, pwr windows and door locks, moon roof, new tires, in excellent condition needs nothing

I think it was #31. It had weird door panels and fairly low miles a few years ago.
