Looks nice.

Are those wheels original color?

It's missing the rear headlight covers...and ground effects? Only car I have seen sporting ONLY the front covers.

I wonder about the mileage but it may have been sitting out in the sun for 10 years...

This car has been posted on here before. The wheels are 100% correct, the color is Paris Blue Metallic, a 1986 ascMcLaren 2-Seat Roadster exclusive, the white top is in error, should be the dark blue. The interior, likewise should be blue (darker blue) If this is the original color, & if my memory is correct, 7 were so made. (I could be wrong.)

It appears to be a repaint, at least to me.

I took down the VIN & will check it a bit later tonight.

Okay, yes, this car was on this site about a year ago. She appears to be in rough shape. Me thinks the tonneau no workiee, probably ditto the top not disconecting from toneau, either. > She is Paris Blue Metallic & her original top was dark navy blue and her interior was light & Dark Regatta Blue. her wheels were Paris Blue with polished rims. She was one of the last 30 or so cars made, but if her original engine is not the one presently in her, then she is a 6 cyl. originally. This can be told because at one time she had the McLaren COUPE'S ground effects on her, making her a Spring Special, all of which were six cyl cars. Also note that the left side tailpipe does not match the passenger's side, which is THE correct pipe for a "6" ~

My guess is that she was originally a 6. 90% of all blue '86 Vets WITH ground effects & head & taillight covers were the 6 Cyl.

She needs alot of $$$$$ and time thrown her way, to make her a runway queen again.

We really think someone did a v6 to v8 conversion on this one? That is a pretty aggressive move on a car with under 18k.

Okay, it's a V8 - but, does it look to be in great condition?
It needs ALOT, in my opinion. For the mileage, assuming it is correct, I think was was used hard and put away wet, as they say...

If you can buy it cheap and have the time & energy & $$$ to inverst, go for it.

Not in bad shape but NOT treated like an 18k miler should. Look at the sun fading on the grill!

Its been outside a good deal.

I don't see it either

While it's not perfect - there appears to be a problem with the top and cover - I don't see any glaring problems with the car at this point either.

It seems pretty straight considering its 22 yrs old.

Let's face it - and I don't mean this an insult to Sandy at all - but it's easy for his opinion to be biased considering the condition of the ASC examples he owns.

I would like to see pics of the engine bay, and better pics of the interior, however.
