I recently picked up a new client for race car videos that I've been doing. When I went to his shop he had an 05 GT with race seats in it. I immediately asked him if he wanted to trade the stock seats for some video work. He agreed and I scored the seats I've been wanting for this project (but would never be able to afford).
Any-who, I took the brackets off my the 05 GT seats today and ditched a bunch of crap from them like the airbag on/off weight sensor pad on the passenger side and started test fitting.
The 05 seats are much wider than I expected and the bolt down tabs are nowhere near bolting up to the 88 Fox chassis.
I whipped out the grinder and buzzed the bolt down tabs off and made some templates for the new bolt downs that I will need to put this dream of mine into action. Here are few pics. I will post more after I get the new bolt downs made and show the final results of this episode...
